Jay’s Story "With my snoring gone, I look forward to many more vacations."

I discovered the beauty of the Sonoran desert when I was in the Air Forceand stationed in Tucson. We enjoy desert living, particularly the warm winters and breathtaking sunsets. Now that I’m retired from my third and final career as a superior court commissioner, we plan on seeing a lot more of Arizona.

I learned of my sleep apnea and tried the CPAP machine for a few months but couldn’t bear it—I put it away and returned to my previous status. Then my wife’s dentist suggested oral appliance. Since using it, I now get a full, uninterrupted night’s sleep—and so does my wife!

As we recently bought a travel trailer, I look forward to a many more vacations. With snoring no longer an issue, the tight confines of our recreational vehicle won’t be a problem. Before, even sleeping in our bed at home was hard on my wife. The only one who never seemed to mind was the dog!

Location Guide: The Superstition Mountains got their name from the many legends revolving around it. As a federally designated wilderness area, it is a popular recreation destination for residents of Phoenix.

Comment from Jay's Dentist
When Jay came to our office he was tired and his wife was worried. He was a loud snorer and his wife noticed him not breathing often. He had tried CPAP but just could not get used to it and when traveling in their RV, it was very difficult to use. That has changed with Oral Appliance Therapy. He has more energy for the things they love and it shows each time he comes into the office. He is such a happy person. We love to see him and hear his stories!
