Suzanne & Helder’s Story "Better rest means better health - for our whole family."

We have four children, from age seven to seventeen, and they’re always on the go with school activities and sports. We’re proud of our kids, and we want to join them in life’s adventures. So we do all we can to keep our family tight-knit and happy.

I was the first one diagnosed with sleep apnea but I knew my husband had it as well because at night I heard him stop breathing and gasp for air. We both tried CPAP. My husband got sores on his nose and found it too difficult to take on business trips. I wasn’t happy with it either. We knew we needed a better solution.

My doctor told me about oral devices that could help my sleep apnea and TMJ. He also said it would be covered by my medical insurance. It wasn’t long until my husband started using the device as well. We are big fans — we’ve even convinced another friend of ours to convert from CPAP!

Since using the device, we’ve noticed big changes. Work trips are easier and more productive for my husband. We’re spending less time napping on the weekends, and now that there are no masks and machines in the way we cuddle more at night. We’ve been married 20 years and are already looking forward to celebrating our 50th together.

The best part is that it’s good for our family’s health, too. Because we’re rested, we’re less grouchy and more patient, particularly with the little ones. We have more time to sit back and smell the roses. This year we took the kids to the X-Men X-perience Tour at Fair Park. We also went to the Texas State Fair, which was the first time to go together as a family. We also enjoy our time together at church. And since our nights are restful now, we’re there on time every Sunday morning.

Location Guide: Constructed in 1932, the 90,000+ seat Cotton Bowl Stadium is a Dallas hallmark and known among sports fans countrywide for the Texas-Oklahoma football classic that borrows its name.

Comment from Suzanne & Helder's Dentist
Both Suzanne and Helder were not sleeping well and were experiencing excessive day time sleepiness. Helder first tried CPAP but couldn't tolerate it. I chose Respire Blue for both of them for its fit and adjustability. After starting treatment, both have stopped snoring and feel like they get a more restful sleep.
