The Power of Collaboration: A Joint Approach to Treating Sleep Apnea Patients

In this episode, we are joined by Dr. Jonathan Lown, a board-certified physician practicing in sleep, internal medicine, and lipidology, as we recap Whole You™’s 2019 AADSM dinner session and share key insights provided by the session’s five esteemed panelists: Dr. James M. Anne Bartolucci, PhD, CBSM

Dr. Bartolucci is a licensed psychologist and is board-certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, specializing in insomnia. She is the president and clinical director of Atlanta Insomnia & Behavioral Health Services, P.C. and a USA Today bestselling fiction author. Her second nonfiction book Better Sleep for the Overachiever will be released in September 2020.

James Andry, MD

Dr. Andry is a founder and medical director of Sleep Therapy & Research Center and Texas School of Sleep Medicine & Technology. He is a principal investigator in numerous sleep related clinical trials involving novel medications and devices. He has worked with faculty at the Dental School UTHSCSA in assisting in the development of their Dental Sleep Medicine Program.

Olivier Vanderveken, MD, PhD

Prof. Dr. Olivier M. Vanderveken, MD, PhD, is a full-time ENT, Head and Neck Surgeon at the Antwerp University Hospital in Belgium where he is appointed as Chair of the Department. His focus is on drug-induced sleep endoscopy, treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with dental appliances and sleep surgery including implantation of hypoglossal nerve stimulators and transoral robotic surgery.

Dmitry Lvovsky, MD

As a specialist in Sleep Medicine with a background in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Lvovsky provides workshops for the residents and fellows along with patient care, where they gain basic knowledge about sleep disorders and application of CPAP and other forms of noninvasive mechanical ventilation in the clinical practice.

Jonathan Lown, MD

Certified in the areas of Sleep, Internal Medicine, and Lipidology, Dr. Lown is the Clinical Director in NY as well as an assistant professor of Medicine at Stony Brook University Medical School. He is a diplomat for sleep medicine for 10 years and internal medicine for almost 20 years, with the American Board of Sleep Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine.
